For over 60 years Department of Analytical Chemistry of the Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy, is a manufacturer of
certified reference materials of carbon-, low-, medium- and high alloy steels, slags, blast furnace and ESR process,
iron ores and concentrates and, more recently, nickel and cobalt alloys. The current offer includes about 200
items. The range of manufactured reference materials varies with the changes in demands in metal industry and
with the development of new technologies. The process of production of reference materials, testing their homo-
geneity and certification are carried out in accordance with ISO Guides 30 - 35. Renowned domestic and foreign
laboratories participate in certification interlaboratory testing. The quality of the reference materials provides
international recognition, compatibility with CRMs of other known manufacturers and increasing export, mainly
to the European, American and Asian market.
